Â Waitafewseconds.Ifthecomputerdoesn’tstartup,shutitdownbyholdingdown

thepower(®)buttonforabout8to10seconds.Disconnectallexternalperipherals

andtryrestartingbypressingthepower(®)buttonwhileholdingdowntheOption

key.Whenyourcomputerstartsup,clicktheharddiskicon,andthenclicktheright

arrow.Afterthecomputerstartsup,openSystemPreferencesandclickStartupDisk.

SelectalocalMacOSXSystemfolder.

Â Ifthatdoesn’twork,tryusingDiskUtilitytorepairthedisk:

InserttheMac OS X Install DVDintoyourcomputer.

•

RestartyourcomputerandholddowntheCkeyasitstartsup.

•

Whenprompted,chooseyourpreferredlanguage.

•

Whenthenextscreenappears,chooseDiskUtilityfromtheUtilitiesmenuinthe

menubar.WhenDiskUtilityopens,followtheinstructionsintheFirstAidpaneto

seeifDiskUtilitycanrepairthedisk.

IfusingDiskUtilitydoesn’thelp,youmightneedtoreinstallyourcomputer’ssystem
