Â Waitafewseconds.IfyourMacminidoesn’tstartupafteradelay,shutitdownby

pressingandholdingthepower(®)buttonforabout5seconds.Thenholddown

theOptionkeyandpressthepower(®)buttonagaintostartupyourMacmini.

KeepholdingdowntheOptionkeyuntilyourMacministartsup,thenclickthearrow

undertheiconoftheharddiskyouwanttouseasyourstartupdisk.

Â AfteryourMacministartsup,openSystemPreferencesandclickStartupDisk.Select

alocalMacOSXSystemfolder.

Â Iftheproblemoccursfrequently,youmayneedtoreinstallyoursystemsoftware(see

“ReinstallingtheSoftwareThatCamewithYourMacmini”onpage46).

If your Mac mini doesn’t turn on or start up

Â MakesurethepowercordispluggedintoyourMacminiandintoafunctioning

poweroutlet.

Â Pressthepower(®)buttonandimmediatelyholddowntheCommand(x),Option,

P,andRkeysonanApplekeyboarduntilyouhearthestartupsoundasecondtime.

ThisresetstheparameterRAM(PRAM).Onotherkeyboards,pressthepower(®)

buttonandimmediatelyholddowntheWindows,Alt,P,andRkeys.

Â Unplugthepowercordandwaitatleast30seconds.Plugthepowercordbackin

andpressthepower(®)buttonagaintostartupyourMacmini.
