3 Remove the PCI card from its static-proof bag and hold it by its corners, taking care not to

touch the gold connector or any of the components on the card.

4 Align the card’s connector with the expansion slot and press down until the connector is

inserted all the way into the slot.

If you’re installing a 12-inch card, make sure the card engages the appropriate guide at the

front of the computer.

Reinstall the screw to

secure the card in place.

If the PCI card you

are installing is full-length

(12 inches), make sure it fits

in one of these four card guides.
